Ved at kombinere kunst med de akustikegenskaber, der er i materialet, ønsker vi at skubbe grænserne for, hvordan du kan påvirke dit rum positivt – således æstetik, form og funktion omfavnes, samtidig med at den generelle velvære forbedres.

De genanvendte uniformer

Vores Hats & Pants serie er fremstillet af genanvendte uniformer fra de danske Kongelige Livgarde. Sammen med Kvadrat Really & kunstnerduoen Hvass & Hannibal har vi omdannet uniformerne til akustiske kunstværker.

Bedre akustik med genanvendte stoffer

Working with Kvadrat has allowed us to design a product that not only utilises upcycled materials but also provides better sound and beautiful acoustic art to homes and work spaces

Kvadrat Really’s Textile Felt has been tested for a sound reduction efficient (NRC) of 0.75 on average. Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) score is a diagram that is known around the world for noise frequency reduction which is measured in Hz.* Our Arturel x Kvadrat artworks have an average of 0.75 NRC (where 1.00 NRC is total sound reduction).

Made from upcycled uniforms, 70% wool/uniform and 30% thermoplastic binder. Please note that since the materials are recycled, minor colour variations may occur. In the dark blue panels you will find red bits from the stitchings and real silver from the shoulder marks.

The artworks are available in 3 different designs and different colors. The light blue from the pants and dark blue from the jackets and the white from Kvadrat Really's standard series. The artworks are available in 3 different designs and different colors.

By merging inspiring art with the functions of the acoustic properties hidden in the material, we aim to push the boundaries for how you can impact your space even further – across beauty, form, and function while enhancing overall well-being.

The artworks consists of multiple layers of recycled materials such as PET felt and upcycled materials such as fabric, which creates a tactile and sculptural look. 

Our acoustic artworks possess sound-absorbing properties, which helps to ensure a better indoor environment by improving the acoustics in any given space.
